INCLUDEME project instructor training and piloting event with the Special Education Vocational High School of Nea Ionia Volos

The Special Vocational High School of Nea Ionia Volos visited the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Thessaly (THMMY). Approximately 40 high school lyceum students (16 – 18) and 10 educators participated in digital educational activities held at the departments’ computer lab on April 24, 2023. The action is a continuation of an earlier relevant activity addressed the school’s gymnasium students (aged 12 – 16), which took place on March 27, 2023. The event had dual purpose, aiming on the one hand to train educators on the INCLUDEME digital learning intervention and on the other to pilot project outcomes with students in real-life educational contexts. The content is available through a learning digital platform developed within the framework of the INCLUDEME project and emphasizes accessibility by providing, among others, the possibility of presenting content in large font or through audio. The content consists of digital puzzle-based exercises, pattern recognition, categorization, memory training, and interactive videos that can be flexibly integrated to address broad topics such as languages, critical thinking, geography, and science. The digital learning platform offers the opportunity for direct use of digital learning content developed by INCLUDEME project partners as well as the creation of new ones through the available functionality.
